Dermal fillers are a fantastic product, with a wide range of versatile uses developed to improve facial aesthetics and correct the signs of aging. As you age, the natural levels of Hyaluronic acid found within the skin decreases.
Hyaluronic acid fills the space between collagen and elastin fibres in the skin, absorbing water and creating volume.The loss of this acid creates lines, and causes the loss of the plump, smooth appearance associated with youth.Injecting dermal fillers into the problem areas of the skin restores this volume, reduces lines and wrinkles and produces a smoother, more youthful appearance.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, such as Restylane, Belotero and Juvederm not only correct these lines, but can also sculpt, and subtly enhance the appearance of areas such as the cheeks, lips chin and nose.
Dermal fillers have a long history of successful aesthetic use, with many benefits, including;
- No allergy testing
- Long lasting, but non-permanent results
- Smooth, natural results
- Instant improvement
Dermal fillers last between 9-12 months. Often topping up treatments every 8-9 months helps to maintain results, and requires less filler than initial treatment. Radiesse is an alternative dermal filler, offering many benefits not present with hyaluronic acid. The results are more natural, and volumatic, great for restoring and enhancing the facial structure.

Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHa) molecules, suspended in a water based gel carrier. It is a biomaterial, so no allergy testing is necessary before treatment. When injected, Radiesse provides a scaffold, allowing the body’s own tissue to form, and provide a natural looking result.
Radiesse’ unique formulation stimulates collagenesis (the production of new collagen) which results in increased volume, for natural looking wrinkle reduction, and sculpting. The added benefit its longevity, with results lasting up to 18 months and over in many patients.
