We use the latest IPL treatment system, manufactured by the leading provider of aesthetic equipment for medical use and widely used within the NHS…so you can be sure of a safe and effective treatment.

A patch test is required at least 48 hours before any treatment. A free consultation is available to discuss suitability and medical history.

Patch tests are charged at £20, but this is redeemable against your treatment or course.

HAIR REMOVAL:

The Ellipse system will provide a long term reduction to unwanted hair.*  Light is absorbed by melanin, the pigmentation in hair follicles, and should destroy the follicle without causing damage to the surrounding cells. Treatment is conducted at approximately 6 week intervals. Treatment numbers will vary, but typically 6 to 10 treatments are needed to provide a satisfactory result.

ACNE TREATMENT:

IPL treatment uses a broadband light to kill the bacteria responsible for acne, and stimulates a wound healing response to promote rapid recovery.  Used alone, or in conjunction with other clinically proven treatments such as advanced skin care and peels, you can achieve clearer skin and improve your confidence.

RED VEIN/ROSACEA REMOVAL:

IPL treatment uses a broadband light to kill off the bacteria responsible for acne, and stimulates a wound healing response to promote rapid recovery. Used alone, or in conjunction with other clinically proven treatments such as advanced skin care and peels, you can achieve clearer skin and improve your confidence.

ELECTROLYSIS HAIR REMOVAL:

What is electrolysis hair removal?

Electrolysis is a method of long term hair removal for the face and body. A very fine, electrically charged probe is inserted into the hair follicle, before the hair is removed with a pair of tweezers.

There are generally few to no side effects, although sometimes your skin will have a temporary reddening immediately after treatment. The majority of your body can be treated with electrolysis including your face, abdomen, eyebrows, legs and thighs.

How does electrolysis work?

As the electrically charged probe is inserted into the hair follicle, it should destroy the root of the hair, making it unable to grow back. As electrolysis targets the hair follicle, rather than pigment, electrolysis can be used on any skin type and hair colour.

Compared with any other method of hair removal, electrolysis has the best results for long-term and long lasting results. Even people who aren’t good candidates for laser removal can easily have electrolysis.

Electrolysis hair removal requires multiple sessions to achieve the best possible results. Depending on hair density, you may need anywhere from 15-30 sessions every 10-14 days, taking a considerable amount of time.

Hair grows in different stages: growing, resting and shedding. As all the hair isn’t at the same stage at any given time, multiple sessions are needed. For electrolysis hair removal to be most effective, the hair needs to be in the growing phase just like IPL or laser hair removal.

It’s important to not to pluck, wax or thread the hair between treatments, as this often makes hair electrolysis harder. Hair follicles can be bent or misshapen by previous waxing or tweezing, making it more difficult to get the needle into the follicle to destroy the root.
