Going on holiday this spring or starting to plan your summer beach holiday? For many women the thrill of a holiday is accompanied by the mild terror of stepping out in a swimsuit or bikini. Baring all after covering up all winter is daunting for most people so remember that you’re not alone.

However there are also a few simple things you can do to boost your confidence and get you 100% beach ready.

Drink lemon and water

In the weeks coming up to your holiday try a simple detox programme to help clear your skin. Pimples can be reduced by cleansing your body from the inside. Drinking hot water with slices of lemon throughout the day can help to flush out toxins.

You can also boost your metabolism by starting your say with a glass of ice water and lemon. Drink this in the morning at least 30 minutes before you eat breakfast. It will wake your body up and get your digestive system working again after a night’s sleep.

Have a course of mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a treatment that involves injections of vitamins and minerals into your skin. It is sometimes referred to as non-surgical liposuction as it targets the fat cells, dissolving them and encouraging your body to excrete them.

Pockets of fat that cause cellulite can be eliminated through a few sessions of mesotherapy. Cellulite most frequently appears on the thighs, hips and buttocks, exactly the bits of our bodies we only expose in a swimsuit. Mesotherapy offers an affordable, non surgical and very effective method of combating cellulite.

To keep the results year round we recommend receiving mesotherapy every few months, though everyone will have different requirements.

Get a spray tan

Tanning is known to age your skin and increases you risk of skin cancer significantly. For those reasons we don’t recommend trying to tan while away on holiday. However having tanned skin can improve your confidence on the beach so treat yourself to a professional spray tan before the big trip. Imagine, you’ll arrive tanned, unlike all the other pale Brits and won’t end up with bright red sunburn.

Using a high SPF while on the beach means you can lie out without the dangers of sun exposure. Remember to shade your head, take breaks from the sun and stay hydrated.

Take up Pilates

Pilates is a wonderful toning exercise that builds strength and muscle. The exercises are often compared to yoga but tend to feel more like aerobic exercises as movements are conducted in reps. The focus of Pilates is to balance your body, creating equal strength on both sides of your body. It’s a great way to tone your body and offers whole body health benefits.

Remember that acting confident is often the key to feeling confident. Faking it can actually get you there so have fun and enjoy your holiday.
